Influenza developed into pneumonia. He left behind three brothers and two sisters. Buried Hill cemetery. 18th - Gonda Teets - 1 yr 2 mos - Bloomfield - Bronchial pneumonia - Influenza 19th - Maude Underwood - 17 yrs - Puxico - Lobar Pneumonia, influenza 19th - Ollie Williams - 33 yrs - Bloomfield - Lobar Pneumonia, influenza 20th - Albert Cates - 34 - Zeta - Lobar Pneumonia, influenza 20th - B. E. Gray - 39 - Puxico - Influenza 20th - Frank Herrin - 44 - Essex - Lobar Pneumonia, Influenza - The Dexter Statesman, Feb 27, 1920, lived near Claude Crutcher’s farm near Essex. He and his son, Edward (17 years old), died in one week. H. Ross, died 9PM last Sunday. Farmed three and one half miles northeast of Dexter. His wife and two of three children were also sick at the time of his death. He leaves behind his wife Melinda Elders and three small children. Buried Triplett cemetery. 22nd Christian Frick - 73 - near Parma - Influenza 23rd - A. Francis “Frank” Camp - Dexter - 53 - The Dexter Statesman, Feb 27, 1920 Died of double pneumonia, following an attack of influenza. He was born on May 27, 1866, he moved to Dexter in April 1891. In March 1888 he was married to Miss Martha Manning, who with five children survived him. He was sick for nine days. He was known for his friendly nature and many warm friends. Buried Hagy cemetery. 24th - Caroline Jennings - 67 - near Dudley - The Dexter Statesman, Feb 27, 1920, “Dudley lost one of its old and prominent matrons, last Tuesday morning at 9:30 o’clock when Mrs. Caroline Jennings passed away after a week’s illness of influenza. She was born March 17, 1852, and was in her 68th year of age. She was married to William Jennings, October 5, 1877, and left six children her husband being dead. Buried Dudley cemetery. 25th - John Cleatis Quick - 8 yrs - Bloomfield - Bronchial pneumonia, influenza. 25th - Ellis Riley - 27 - Dexter - The Dexter Statesman, Feb 27, 1920, oldest son of D. M. Riley, died on his farm near Dexter. Ill about 10 days. Married four and a half years ago to Miss Eva Carpenter, he leaves two boys, one four and the other 2.
